Description
This is a repair service for a BMW N55 DME, these fail, due to Valvetronic issues,
The following faults are recorded in the DME fault code memory:
Having problems with codes 2DD6 2DD8 : Valvetronic sensor signal implausible, open signal to the servo motor.
E series:
- 2D41-Electronic valve control, adjustment range: initial learning is out of tolerance
- 2D43-Electronic valve control, adjustment range: range check failure
In some cases:
- 2DCF-Electronic valve control, movement is not recognized
- 2DCE-Electronic valve control, not adjustable
- 2E0F-Electronic valve control, closed, over-adjustment error
F series:
- 134F01-Electronic valve control, adjustment range: initial learning is out of tolerance
- 134F04-Electronic valve control, adjustment range: range check failure
In some cases:
- 135608-Electronic valve control, no movement detected
- 133B04-Electronic valve control, unadjustable
- 133E10-Electronic valve control, closed, over-adjustment error
After replacing the electronic valve control servo motor and/or the eccentric shaft, then the DME is probably damaged, or if you get any of the following codes
- FC 36D4 (E series)
- FC 1F0904 (F series): “DME internal failure, VVT failure”
- The “electronic valve control trial run (run-in procedure)” cannot be executed, or / and due to the failure of the “limit position learning”
