Bentley KESSY Module for Start Authorisation – Water Damage Replacement Service / Keyless Entry and Start System
This is a replacement service for your Bentley Keyless Entry Immobiliser Module if it has suffered water ingress.
These modules are fitted in various vehicles such as:
- Bentley Continental
- Bentley Continental GT

These are located under the passenger seat in UK vehicles and are prone to get water damage if the water drains are blocked.
Some of the common issues you might experience are;
- Complete non starting
- Central locking not working
- Windows not going up or down
- Unresponsive central locking buttons
- Locking and unlocking of doors, boot, bonnet function.
- door locks making noise but won’t lock
- Convertible top not working
- Interior lights not turning on or off
- Continuous open circuit faults when diagnosed
- No communications through the diagnostic connector
- The ignition can no longer be switched on
- The steering wheel remains locked
- The vehicle no longer starts
- Error message in the instrument cluster “Steering defective!”
- Error message in the instrument cluster “Ignition lock defective!”
- Error message in the instrument cluster “Immobilizer active!”
- Error in the Kessy system access & start authorization
- Kessy ECU J518 – not responding, diagnosis not possible
- Kessy ECU J518 – damaged by water
