This service is for when you have bought a second hand body control module (BCM) with the same part number and needs reprogramming to to your vehicle’s immobiliser.

These units need programming to your specific Ford since they must have the correct VIN and assembly line data to correctly function.

The BCM is basically a box of relays and fuses, that connects all electronic modules to all of your electrical parts such as locks, lamps, sensors, switches and controls. The whole vehicle’s wiring loom terminates and starts from the BCM, including all security functions such as the central locking and the immobiliser.

The BCM has its own microprocessor and is programmed to be only compatible on that vehicle as it syncs with all the vehicle electronic modules and carries the VIN.
